JOB DESCRIPTION: The
Business Analyst is a position reporting into the IT
Commercial Business Information Management group and
tightly integrated into the Commercial organization
working on patient focused initiatives.
This position has a broad range of responsibilities
including:
Business partnership and technology expertise
. Demonstrate strong understanding of initiatives in our
Patient Services and Patient Marketing teams and their
supporting technology as well as broad understanding of
overall business unit
. Serve as tactical IT liaison to our group through
building and fostering a partnership
Project management and solution delivery
. Ensure solution delivery meets business need and
expectation through business requirement gathering
. Gather and validate business needs to translate into
requirements for technical team
. Work with technical teams to develop technical
requirements and solutions
. Is accountable for projects throughout entire
lifecycle; depending on scale and complexity may need
input or guidance on critical decisions
Support and business continuity
. Be proactive in identifying solutions or opportunities
that can help improve business processes
. Be point of contact for business focused application
questions and be able to identify and leverage resources
across IT

QUALIFICATIONS:
Business Skills
The candidate must:
. Have 5-7 years prior experience working as a business
analyst or related field with call center and/or consumer
marketing groups
. Have strong analytical and creative problem solving
skills
. Have strong project management skills
. Be process oriented (i.e. change control, requirement
gathering, process flow diagramming, testing, etc).
. Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
. Be highly organized and work well under pressure.
. Be capable of multitasking and managing time
effectively.
. Be able to work independently
Technical Skills
The candidate must:
. Have a working knowledge of software development
lifecycle and documentation
. Experience writing business requirements, functional
specifications, and test plans
. Have previous experience with the following
productivity tools: MS Office, MS PowerPoint, MS Project
and Visio.
General
The following skills are highly desired:
. Prior experience working for a business or technical
consulting organization
. Experience working on patient engagement related
activities within healthcare industry
. Experience with a CRM software package with customer
service and/or marketing focus
. Previous experience with data, reporting and analytics
tools
