JOB DESCRIPTION: Associate
Director, HCP Engagement, Commercial IT
We are seeking a forward-looking IT Business Leader to
serve as focal point for Sales, HCP Marketing &
Commercial Effectiveness. This is a newly created
position to drive significant change in the US Commercial
(Sales & Marketing) organization?s IT strategy and
execution in an ever changing environment. Effective
partnering and the ability to influence in and outside
the client and IT are essential for success. Key
responsibilities are as follows:
. Understand and anticipate strategic, market and/or
operational needs, and translate those needs into
effective and/or improved processes and/or technical
solutions.
. Learn the processes, plans, objectives, drivers, and
issues related to the business area, together with
appropriate external policies and regulations.
. Develop strong relationships with Sales, HCP Marketing
& Commercial Effectiveness to manage planning and
strategy input and with the business, develop,
communicate and execute on an aligned IT/business
strategy.
. Drive and align the overall IT portfolio for the Sales,
HCP Marketing & Commercial Effectiveness teams and
Commercial IT Department.
. Negotiate and mediation between business and IT to find
pragmatic solutions.
Planning:
. Direct the planning phase of IT projects and manage the
IT portfolio for Sales, HCP Marketing & Commercial
Effectiveness
. Initiate or act as initial contact point for project
proposals; evaluate feasibility of potential projects in
coordination with the associated IT Department.
Collaborate with the business lead to develop business
cases for projects.
. Assist in compiling, justifying and getting approval
for project proposals and ensure all requests are
documented, screened and schedules according to
designated priorities.
. Analyze IT requirements for input to the budgeting
process.
Facilitate Change via Process, Information, or
Technology:
. Promote opportunities for applying technology to
business problems; champion introduction of new or
improvement of existing tools and solutions.
. Bring awareness of new technology and products to the
business, support business reengineering as needed.
. Research and respond to requests received from the
business area and serve as a point of contact and/or
escalation for IT-related requests for services,
information or direction.
. Contribute the IT aspects to the business strategy
development, bringing business opportunities through
technology and business knowledge.
Execution:
. Oversee project execution and ensure resources, either
internal from Commercial IT Department or external are
secured to meet business demands and report status of all
initiatives.
. Direct proper execution of IT projects by coordinating
resources from the Commercial IT Department and the
supported function.
. Facilitate Operational IT service by collaborating with
external IT customer service providers.
. Work with Application service managers to provide input
into Operational Budget for IT
. Contribute to vendor management.
. Ensure solutions are delivered according to approved
budget and target dates, which will require resource and
capacity planning with internal and external resources.
. Provide business case behind service levels (or at
minimum review/ approve business case developed by
business lead and analyst).
. Enable and enhance communications between IT and the
business area by participating in regularly scheduled
business management meetings.
. Educate the business as needed on IT processes and
methodologies and provide complete transparency in
services delivered.

QUALIFICATIONS:
. 5-10 years' experience
working with a top-tier consulting company serving
business customers focusing on the HCP (including all
office staff) environment.
. 5-10 years' experience supporting the strategic
technology needs of a Sales and Marketing function within
