We are currently seeking a Midwest Regional Sales Manager (Dealer). ***Resumes from applicants residing in Chicago, IL and surrounding suburbs are welcomed. PRIMARY
FUNCTION To manage
the sale of the company's products through a network of
independent dealers. The Regional Sales Manager is
assigned an area of primary sales responsibility and is
the primary contact between the company and its dealers
in that region. The individual is expected to apply
sound business practices to those areas not specifically
covered by standard company policies, practices and
procedures. TYPICAL
DUTIES 1.
Motivate dealer sales force creating a positive selling
attitude toward the company's products. 2.
Train dealer personnel on selling of company's products
as well as sales related policies and procedures. 3.
Recommend and develop new dealers for open territories or
areas where sales results are insufficient. 4.
Recommend cancellation of ineffective dealers. 5.
Conduct regional sales meetings as needed. 6.
Attend and coordinate regional and national trade shows. 7.
Guide and direct field sales activity in Area of Primary
Sales Responsibility (APSR). 8.
Recommend product changes as well as new product ideas. 9.
Monitor ATD program with dealer network. 10.
Conduct annual dealer-by-dealer evaluation program to
include prior year results, goals, objectives and action
plans for upcoming year. 11.
Follow-up and submission of quarterly dealer evaluations
highlighting performance and action plan fulfillment. 12.
Responsible for the preparation of annual APSR sales
objectives including dealer-by-dealer projections. 13.
Submission of monthly accomplishment report including a
rolling 120 day forecast for new business. 14.
Submission of expense reports on a timely basis. 15.
Develop and maintain competitive manufacturers' profiles
and report on their activity each month. Profile and
contact competitive dealers within our APSR. Perform
competitive drive-by's for competitive manufacturers
within your APSR. 16.
Ensure that all business conducted in the region is
consistent with the company's mission statement and
standard of ethical practices. 17.
Minimum of 16 hours of training annually. 18.
Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects
that may be required from time to time. 19.
Recommend potential sales and promotional ideas to the
Marketing Department. This
