PayPal''s Global Product & Experience organization drives the world’s largest alternative payment network with nearly 200M active users. Global Product Analytics (GPA) provides strategy, experience optimization and web analytics support for this function.
 We are currently looking for a person with a blend of strategy consulting, problem solving and business analysis skills with action orientation.  In the process, this person will develop a deep understanding of PayPal’s business and work closely with cross functional teams including senior management.      
Develop and conduct strategic analysis: Translate business information needs into the most efficient and effective analysis plan, execute the analysis including data pull, and then translate findings into strategic insights.    
Presentation: Communicate complex concepts, the results of your analyses and resulting strategic priorities in a clear and effective manner to all levels of the organization. Includes creating and presenting effective powerpoint documents.     
Project Management: Manage end to end projects adhering to timelines and directing the efforts of others. Develop and nurture strong relationships across the organization.       
Data Extraction: Hands on experience with sophisticated data mining including writing SQL to extract and manipulate data. Deliver analyses that guide strategy and operating decision.         
Data analysis: Apply strong analytics and problem solving skills to analysis data per requirement/hypothesis and present findings.

Job Qualifications

We are seeking candidates passionate about driving business results from analysis and about building great online consumer products. A demonstrated track record of thought leadership to drive significant business results and: 

• Professional experience of 5-7 yrs.
• 3+ years Client-facing consulting expertise highly desired.
• 3+ years experience of critical and analytical thinking including problem solving, attention to detail, ability to prioritize, multitask and deliver in a fast paced cross-functional environment.
• SQL experience or an aptitude to learn SQL to pull data independently. Experience with SAS a plus.
• Mastery of Microsoft Excel (building models) & Powerpoint, OLAP environments a plus. 3+ years experience.
• Knowledge of relational databases and data warehouse principles.
• Experience with Web Analytics data and techniques desirable.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Domain knowledge of ecommerce, online payments (e.g., acquisition, retention, lifecycle management, etc.) preferred.
• Familiarity with PayPal, online payments or e-commerce desirable.
• Proficiency with research methods and statistics a plus.
• Self-motivated and directed while a positive, strong team player and problem-solver.
