JOB DESCRIPTION:
BP has seen significant benefits from HIVE (Highly Immersive Visualizaiton Environments) technology and has encouraged the adoption of HIVE technology and processes by a variety of BP business units around the globe. The HIVE Service Line Leader is responsible for a global service delivery model which will address issues, leverage the benefits available from existing investment in HIVE facilities, and maximize value for money on new investments.

To achieve a high degree of standardization and a common approach to service delivery, the service line model combines fundamental organizational components such as ITIL governance, strategic planning and project management along with the essential core user and technical support services.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience of a variety of IT Projects and all stages of the IT project lifecycle

E&P business awareness (with some exposure to geoscience preferred)

Experience and knowledge of Visualization technologies and practices, especially those currently in use in BP (e.g. 3D workstations, large monitors, touch tables, HIVE – highly immersive visualization environments)

Experience in implementing and supporting HIVEs in E&P

Established relationships with HIVE and visualization technology providers

Background in technical computing and software

Good internal (global) and external networking skills

Strong interpersonal, communication and listening skills. Ability to effectively influence and network with others (including virtual teams)

Some experience of Business Process Change Management.

Self-motivated with a bias for innovation and results

Established track record for consistently delivering, meeting or exceeding expectations.
