JOB DESCRIPTION:
BP Cherry Point is currently seeking an Instrumentation
Engineer to serve as a member of the Cherry Point
Projects Team and supports the delivery of
cost-effective, safe, environmentally sound, and reliable
unit operations. The position utilizes leading edge
technologies in the monitoring, evaluation, maintenance,
repair, selection, and upgrading of equipment to maximize
unit availability and performance. The position will work
with other engineering, maintenance, and operations
personnel, as well as industry experts, in both project
and day-to-day support roles.

QUALIFICATIONS:
* Minimum five years experience as an Instrument Engineer
in a chemical plant, refinery, or equivalent environment.
* Instrumentation & Electrical design,
maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, and/or
project engineering experience are essential.
* Candidate should possess engineering skills in
troubleshooting/specifying instrument and electrical
equipment associated with process equipment i.e. pumps,
heat exchangers, vessels, compressors, piping, including
DCS and PLC hardware.
* Must have strong computer skills.
Education:
A Bachelor Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical or
other technical engineering discipline required.
