JOB DESCRIPTION:

Develops, implements and manages Corporate Compliance initiatives for R&D, GXP and PO&T. Liaises with various internal and external groups (Data Management, Regulatory, Medical Writing, Biostatistics, Drug Safety and Risk Management, Clinical Sciences & Technology, Medical Affairs and external vendors including CROs and investigator sites) to maintain a high level of quality and consistency across programs; provide project management and training assistance to cross functional teams on best practices, industry standards and regulations; fosters relationships with cross functional staff to encourage discussion and establish best practices for continuous improvement of quality and compliance. Develops and delivers compliance training programs and provides ongoing monitoring of compliance controls. Serves as a resource in responding to compliance questions and resolves compliance related issues.

Manages Global Data Privacy programs that ensures operations, policies, training, awareness, monitoring and auditing requirements are in according with BIIB principles, business practices, regulations, laws and industry standards. Responsible for leading privacy programs across business units and externally (i.e. Regulatory Agencies, outsourced partners) Responsible for overall execution and operational success of the Data Privacy program.

Develop organization-wide privacy policies and procedures, including:
- Notice of Privacy Practices
- Authorization / Consent Forms
- Use and Disclosure of Protected Health Information
- Individual Requests for Access to Protected Health Information
- Recordkeeping and Administrative Requirements
Oversee and direct ongoing privacy training to members of the organization's workforce.

Provides operational support for various other compliance related programs.

QUALIFICATIONS:

. Fluent in English, additional languages preferred

. International experience preferred.

. Compliance / Privacy experience preferred.

. R&D experience
preferred.

. 5 - 10 years of experience in healthcare industry preferred.
